Wildcats Spoil Senior Night

Junior Nick Faunce collected three hits, while senior Hiarali Garcia pitched four innings of scoreless relief, but it was not enough. Kansas State starter Brad Hutt and reliever Thomas Rooke combined on a seven-hit shut out as the Wildcats earned a series opening win over KU, 5-0 Friday evening at Hoglund Ballpark.

Agafonov Wins Third Straight Big 12 Hammer Throw Title

For the third consecutive year, University of Kansas senior Egor Agafonov won the Big 12 Championship in the men's hammer throw on Friday - becoming the first person to do so in conference history. After one day of competition at the 2008 Big 12 Outdoor Championships in Boulder, the men's team currently stands in third-place while the women are seventh. (more)
2008 Softball In Review

With its most wins since 1997, KU softball wrapped up the 2008 season 37-19 overall and 7-11 in the Big 12 Conference. When the NCAA Division I Softball Tournament bracket was released in May, a third of KU's 56-game schedule had been against tournament-bound teams. (more)
Jayhawks Head to Tennessee for South-Central Regionals

Kansas will return to Melton Hill Lake for the South-Central Regional Regatta in Oak-Ridge, Tenn., May 17-18. The two-day regatta is the qualifier for the NCAA Championships held two weeks later in Sacramento, Calif. KU will be competing in five events, beginning with the Open Four preliminary heats on Saturday morning at 9:20 a.m. (more)
