Kansas' Loss to UCLA...

...Ends KU' season at 33-5.

...Snaps a 14-game win streak, the longest streak during the Bill Self era.

...Gives KU its first neutral site game loss of the year (9-1) and makes KU 17-3 away from Allen Fieldhouse this season.

...Give the Jayhawks their first NCAA Tournament loss in games played in the state of California (3-1).

...Makes Bill Self 16-9 in NCAA Tournament games, including 6-4 while at KU.

...Makes Self 105-29 in four seasons at KU and 312-134 overall.

...Makes KU 1,906-782 all-time.

 

 

Kansas Notes

-KU was 21-3 this season with the starting lineup of Sasha Kaun, Russell Robinson, Mario Chalmers, Julian Wright and Brandon Rush.

-Rush and Robinson were named to the NCAA Tournament West Regional All-Tournament team. The duo was the first to earn the postseason honor since Aaron Miles and Wayne Simien in 2004.

-Rush led Kansas in scoring for the 13th time this season.

-Chalmers' six steal tied a career high (three times this season).

-Robinson tied his career best with five steals.

-The last time KU trailed at halftime was against Texas in the Big 12 title game on March 11. The Jayhawks won the contest 88-84 in overtime and were 4-3 when trailing at the half this season.

-The Jayhawks have forced 20 or more turnovers nine times this season, including UCLA's season-high 25 in the Eilte Eight.

-Ranked No. 1 by Sports Illustrated

-Jayhawks Defeat No. 1 Florida for 2006 Las Vegas Invitational title

-Bill Self notches 300th career victory

-Kansas wins 10 conference games for the 13th-straight season

-KU wins seventh Big 12 regular season title and 50th overall

-KU becomes third school in NCAA Division I to win 1,900 games

-Jayhawks win fifth Big 12 and ninth overall conference tournament title

-KU the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament for the seventh time in school history

-Kansas advanced to Elite Eight for the fourth time in six years
