2005 (RS): Redshirted... Practiced with the specialists as a long snapper.

High School: Earned a total of six letters in basketball and football for the Comets... Helped the football team to the district championship as a senior... Named MVP of the football team... Had a career-best 13 tackles including three sacks in one contest... Collected more than 100 tackles as a senior... Coached in football by Brad Calip... Was a three-year basketball letterwinner and earned All-State Honorable Mention accolades in 2005 as well as team MVP honors.
