2006 (So.): Played in all 12 games and made eight starts... Had 33 total tackles including 22 solo stops and 11 assists... Ranked fifth on the team with six tackles-for-loss... Finished third on the team with four quarterback sacks... Ranked third on the team with six quarterback hurries... Led the team with three fumble recoveries including two in the game against Kansas State... Forced and recovered a fumble against Nebraska... Named KU's defensive player of the week following the Kansas State game... Named first-team Academic All-District by ESPN The Magazine... An Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection.

2005 (Fr.): Moved to defensive end during spring drills... Appeared in all 12 games at tight end... Saw extensive time on several special teams units... Was one of three true freshman to see the field during their rookie campaign.

High School: A graduate of Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Okla.... A first-team all-state selection by the Daily Oklahoman and the State High School Coaches Association... Named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year in the district... Was Stillwater High School's Male Athlete of the Year... Recorded 287 career tackles, including 46 behind the line of scrimmage... Collected 34 quarterback sacks during his career... Was the school's football player of the year as a sophomore... Earned varsity letters in football, wrestling and track for SHS... Helped the Pioneers to a second-place finish in the district as a senior... Placed in the state wrestling tournament as a sophomore and junior and captured the heavyweight championship as a senior... Coached in football by Kirk Fredrich.

Personal: Born in West Lafayette, Ind., but grew up in Stillwater, Okla... Plans to major in chemistry... Main hobby is fishing... Son of Wade and Kathy Brorsen... Has two siblings.
