KU Scout Team Offensive Player of the Week (vs. Texas)

2007 (So.): Played as a reserve running back and a special teams contributor... Carried the ball 17 times for 98 yards and two scores... First action of the year came against Baylor when he rushed eight times for 47 yards and one touchdown... Also caught two passes for 14 yards against the Bears... Rushed six times for 17 yards against Nebraska and three times for 34 yards and another touchdown against Iowa State.

2006 (Fr.): Did not participate after suffering a season-ending injury near the start of the 2006 campaign.

2005 (RS): Redshirted... Gained experience on the offensive scout team as he adjusted to the college game... Awarded offensive scout team player of the week by the coaching staff for his work leading up to the Texas game.

High School: Named an All-District Second Team running back by the Abilene Reporter-News in 2004... Earned All-County honors following his senior season... Gathered varsity letters in football, basketball and track for the Yellow Jackets... Earned All-District honors in both basketball and track as well... Once rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns in a single game... Returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown in a game against Midlothian... Coached in football by Mickey Finley.

Personal: Born in Fort Worth, Texas... Major is African-American studies... Main hobby is fishing... Son of Tammie Hemlee... Has two sisters... Both sisters played college volleyball.
