COLUMBUS, Ohio - Kansas junior Danielle Herrmann improved her KU all-time 100-yard breaststroke mark in NCAA Swimming and Diving action Friday at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on the Ohio State University campus. Herrmann swam to a 22nd-place finish, clocking in at 1:02.01, topping her original record of 1:02.13, set at the 2008 Big 12 Championship meet.

In her second NCAA appearance, Herrmann also swam the 200-yard individual medley in Thursday action, finishing 34th with a time of 2:00.41, and completed her 2008 NCAA experience Saturday with the 200-yard breaststroke. Herrmann tapped in at 2:16.82 for a 39th-place finish in the event.

"We were really happy with all three of Danielle's swims," head coach Clark Campbell said. "She came into her second NCAA meet with a lot more confidence and she raced a lot better than last year. We were especially happy with her 100 breast time and how she moved up from her initial seed."
